Open Exchange Rates API – Maintenance works moved to Saturday 20th Dec, 8 AM GMT
We have been notified by Open Exchange Rates that the scheduled maintenance due today has been rescheduled to the 20th of December at 8 AM GMT. If you are using the Currency Switcher and you configured Open Exchange Rates as your exchange rates provider, please make sure that the automatic updates are executed before the planned downtime, or the plugin may throw an unexpected errors.
Here’s the update we received:
From: Open Exchange Rates
Received: 17/12/2014 12:12 PMThis morning we encountered a potential issue that could have caused further disruption, so we’ve rescheduled today’s maintenance to this Saturday, December 20th, at 8:00am GMT. (The service was not interrupted today.)
Our API is critical to many of our clients’ businesses, so we’ve also reconfigured to keep the period of downtime to between 15 and 30 minutes only.
Please accept my apologies for the rescheduling – and again for the inconvenience caused by this short maintenance period, during which both the website and API will be unavailable. This is while we make some major platform upgrades, which will ensure your API service is fully available and lightning fast throughout the Christmas and New Year period – and going forward into the year ahead.
Many thanks for your patience while we work to improve our offering.
On behalf of Open Exchange rates, we would like to thank you for your patience and your understanding.
Regards,
The Aelia Team
