Prices by Country for WooCommerce – What’s new

Prices by Country for WooCommerce has been updated to version 1.6.1.150622. This update brings the following improvements and fixes:

  • Improved performances. The Prices by Country plugin now uses cookies, rather than session variables, whenever possible. This change was made because we found out that, since WooCommerce 2.3, the handling of sessions is not optimal and can lead to performance issues. We also discovered that WooCommerce does not always clean up old sessions as it should, and that could cause a bloat of the database. By using cookies, the Prices by Country plugin will no longer be affected by those issues, and will perform consistently fast.

Currency Switcher for WooCommerce has been updated to version 3.7.2.150630. This update brings the following improvements and fixes:

  • Added new filters
    • The wc_aelia_cs_convert_product_price filter will allow to process a product price after it has been converted. This will allow custom rounding and calculations.
    • The wc_aelia_cs_selected_currency filter allows to override the active currency on the fly.
  • Bug fixes
    • Fixed logic to determine the active currency on Order Edit page. When that page was opened, the currency was incorrectly changed to the one in user’s profile when the “Force currency by billing country” was active.
    • Fixed logic to determine if a product in on sale. The new logic correctly determines the “on sale” state for variable products.
    • Fixed minor bug in the dashboard widget in WooCommerce 2.3.
    • Fixed bug in recalculation of refund metadata in base currency on refund creation.
  • General improvements
    • Added logic to prevent conversion of a zero amount. This will grant a minor performance increase.

Prices by Country for WooCommerce has been updated to version 1.6.0.150619. This update brings the following improvements and fixes:

  • New “hide products” feature. The plugin now includes a global option to hide unavailable products completely, rather than showing a “product not available” message. This will make it super simple to have geographical catalogues, such as one for Europe, one for North America and one for Australia, while still allowing to keep some products common to all regions.

Prices by Country for WooCommerce has been updated to version 1.5.2.150601. This update brings the following improvements and fixes:

  • Improved user interface for Regions configuration. Added new Add all countries action to the page, so that it’s now possible to add all the countries in one click, rather than selecting them one by one.
  • Added support for Subscriptions product. The plugin now allows to specify prices by country for simple and variable subscriptions.
  • Increased priority of PricingManager::woocommerce_get_price() event handler. This should prevent conflicts with 3rd party plugins that try to alter the product price.
